Being able to interact with a community of people experiencing similar difficulties was also incredibly rewarding. It’s so easy to feel alone in something you’re struggling with, but rarely are we truly alone.

Exploring the neurological underpinnings of the ADHD brain has helped me have more compassion for myself. I had read about some of the concepts before the course, but I gained a deeper and more nuanced understanding during the course—one that helps me pause in the moment and give language to the highs and lows of living with ADHD.

Being live with other neurodivergent people is life-changing, especially if you don't have many diagnosed/accepting neurodivergent people in your life. You'll probably find people struggling with things just like you that will say something that can just unblock you.

The range of tried and tested strategies were of course great to collect, but it was the delivery and lack of 'one size fits all' approach which was so refreshing. I felt totally seen, understood, and accepted.

Jesse J. Anderson

Jesse J. Anderson

ADHD advocate—writer, speaker, maker of things

I was diagnosed with ADHD in my mid-thirties and it rocked my world. My own behavior finally made sense. Like many with ADHD, I thought that all my mistakes and failed willpower were moral failings—that I was just lazy, selfish, stupid, or crazy. But those words never felt right to me, and I finally knew why.

Since my diagnosis, I've made it my mission to help others learn what ADHD really is and how to work with it. I write about ADHD regularly online, including my weekly newsletter Extra Focus, which has over 50,000 subscribers.

I'm also writing the book this course was originally based on, Refocus: How to Thrive with Adult ADHD. It contains all the knowledge and strategies I use to live a better life with ADHD and find motivation to get more done.

This course is a passion project for me to help others with their ADHD. I know how difficult it can be. ADHD can sabotage your dreams and your goals, sending you into negative shame spirals and making you feel like a failure.

I want to teach you to work with your brain so you can stop feeling like wasted potential. Learn why your ADHD brain works the way it does and develop the tools and strategies to put yourself back in control.

In this course, we'll do a deep dive on ADHD and learn the foundations of how our brains work differently than neurotypical ones and work together to build ourselves a better brain strategy playbook.

ADHD Advocate, Community Builder, Speaker

For 20+ years I felt like an entirely different species on this planet - like an alien. I struggled in pretty much every area of my life. Luckily, I reached out for help in my 30's and was diagnosed with ADHD - which truly explained all of the chaos that I had been experiencing for my entire life.

Immediately after finding my ADHD, I began to build a community of other people like me and I started to put the pieces back together. I grew a community through social media of over 150,000 strong called My Lady ADHD and I work daily to educate others about ADHD, neurodiversity, and the value and importance of seeing our strengths.

I also host the My Lady ADHD Podcast and in partnership with a few other ADHD powerhouse friends, I am launching ADHD Social later this year - a place to help facilitate friendships and connection within this amazing community. It's critical to have an ADHD support system.

This course is so important to me because it's the course that I needed when I was first diagnosed. I understand how frustrating ADHD can be and I want to help. It's so important to learn how ADHD impacts your life and some steps you can take to build strategies that work for your beautiful brain. It's also so important to put yourself in a room with other ADHD people who really get it - that part of the course ALONE is extremely valuable.
